product description
This elegant Jil Sander jacket showcases a distinctive 3/4 style, meticulously crafted in soft, luxurious brown sleep leather. The design is innovatively complemented by a sleeveless interior fashioned from opulent green wool, which can be effortlessly detached via a zip for versatility in warmer conditions. Retaining its sophistication without the detachable gilet, it features a harmonious tone-on-tone lining. The jacket is further adorned with a classic trench coat-style belt closure, supplemented by practical side pockets and a chic back vent. Its oversized silhouette and relaxed shoulder cut contribute to a contemporary, fashion-forward aesthetic. It's important to mention a small scratch, as indicated in the provided photo. The dimensions of the jacket include a combined shoulder and sleeve length of 76 cm, a width of 60 cm at the undersleeve, and an overall length of 80 cm. Freshly returned from a professional leather cleaning service, this jacket is in impeccable condition, ensuring it retains its luxurious quality and appearance.
about JIL SANDER
Founded in 1968, the company went public in 1989. In 1999 Prada Group bought a 75% share in the company. Six months later, Sander departed the company, and it suffered serious financial setbacks. She returned briefly in 2003.
In 2006, private equity firm Change Capital Partners LLP (CCP) bought the company from Prada. At that point, the Telegraph reported that the company was in better shape financially. Prada CEO Patrizio Bertelli said: "As we focus on the development of the Prada and Miu Miu brands, I am certain that Change Capital Partners will be able to provide the necessary investment to further grow the Jil Sander business." Raf Simons remained creative director at Jil Sander.
In September 2008, the Jil Sander brand was purchased by Onward Holdings Co. Ltd (TYO: 8016), a Japanese multi-brand fashion conglomerate, and its European subsidiary GIBO' CO. S.p.A. for about US $244 million.
