product description
Dodo bracelet from Pomellato purchased in the early 2000s, when Dodo fashion was becoming very popular. Like all Pomellato items, the silver is 925 and the gold is 18kr. And this applies as much to the bracelet, the nuggets and grains that compose it, as to the charm and the clasp. The bracelet alone, without the charm, is now sold less expensively than before but its price is still around €350 depending on the site. The bracelet is sold as is: everything can be moved, the grains removed if necessary, just like the silver pendant from another famous House (the one with the E engraved in italics - the name of the House is also visible in the photo because it is engraved on the back of the charm). The bracelet is made up of: - 39 silver beads; - 5 18-carat gold charms, most of which are rare and no longer in production: the mouse, the frog, the angelfish, the snail, the butterfly; - 1 18-carat gold ring; - 1 silver nugget, standard size. In the photo, with maximum resolution, we see that all the charms, including that of the other Maison, bear the engraving of the respective logo. Gold charm: with lens and zoom, but I admit it's difficult to see, there is the 18kr gold engraving and, I assume (because it is really small) the serial number of the pendant. Each Dodo pendant, at least originally, had its own meaning, which could be found in the purchase box. I can't say I remember them all, but the frog was purchased because its meaning is ""You are my prince."" The photos were always taken with lens, zoom and maximum resolution and I do not see any micro scratches, although I do not exclude their presence. They are not visible to the naked eye, as can be seen in photos from a more normal distance. Snail charm: micro-scratch present and visible. To date, discontinued gold charms have acquired a value higher than the standard price of €100/150 at which current charms are sold. Pepita: even older than the bracelet, because it was initially mounted on a cord with a few grains. I would like to point out that the Dodo logo, due to age, is no longer visible. Personally I don't see any micro scratches even with the zoom and the maximum resolution, but I don't exclude their presence given the age. Not visible to the naked eye. You can have it checked, but it is original and, again in a very small form, there is the engraving, with the same shape as the other charms, silver (visible in the photo taken with lens, zoom and maximum resolution). Charm of the House with the E in italics, the initial of my name, with engraving of the name of the House on the back - photos always taken in very high resolution and I do not see any micro-scratches, even if I do not see any not exclude a slight presence of these. As shown in the photo, the bracelet ""measures"" 16 cm from the gold clasp to the silver bar but be careful: as I show in the photo, it is essential to be able to have this small free space of chain which is in contact with the bar and which is obtained by moving the grains all towards closure. The number of nuggets has been calculated precisely so that the bracelet is full but has the minimum space necessary to open and close it (impossible to lose it from the wrist, but I ask you to carefully measure the diameter and circumference of your wrist). I simulated the clasp: all the charms need to be moved to the gold clasp in order to get that little chain gap I was talking about and showing; always keeping the part of the chain free of grains, begin to insert perpendicularly the bar which must then be slightly rotated and inclined to pass through the closure. For obvious reasons I no longer have the original box, but it will be placed in a small soft jewelry pouch. Can be cleaned with silver products. In the jewelry store they obviously manage to clean more thoroughly, that is, even the chain (which is actually never visible) and make it new and very bright. Measurements of my wrist: - where the wrist bone is located = approximately 5 cm in diameter; - Wrist circumference, therefore descending slightly towards the arm = 15 cm, definitely not very present. Present photos of the bracelet worn to understand the size. I chose ""Good condition"" because of the age of the bracelet and its components. I believe, but I am not a jeweler, that the bracelet is indeed in very good condition considering its age.
